Our Routine Examination
Drs. Carl and Andy Sakovits will have many questions for you, particularly if you are new to the office, but they will spend just as much time listening. You know your eyes better than anyone and they understand that. They will take the time to understand the unique visual challenges associated with your work or hobbies and will help you find the most comfortable solution. You will leave the office with all of your questions answered and feeling confident that you have had a thorough examination. Infants to mature adults are welcome. First time examinations normally take 45-60 minutes and follow up examinations are 30-45 minutes. Appointments are needed, however, people with infections, injuries, or emergencies, can call to be seen the same day.
Our Contact Lens Examinations
Drs. Carl and Andy Sakovits combined have over thirty years of experience fitting all types of soft, toric, bifocal, gas permeable, and hard contact lenses. Contact lenses are safer, more comfortable, and come in more prescriptions than ever before. If you are new to contact lenses and want to learn more about them, they will take the time to discuss this with you at the end of your routine examination. If you currently wear contacts, they will evaluate them before your routine eye examination to see they are fitting properly and review your complete lens care and wearing routine. If your lens type is outdated or having an adverse effect on your eyes they will discuss this with you and might recommend a refitting. If you stopped wearing contacts years ago due to dry eye, discomfort, or poor vision, feel free to discuss this with them as they have helped many patients with these eye conditions return to successful contact lens wear.
Treatment of Eye Diseases
Drs. Carl and Andy Sakovits are licensed and certified to diagnose and manage many eye diseases such as dry eyes, infections, glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. They also work with a group of doctors specializing in the cornea, retina, cataract surgery, neurophthalmology, oculoplastic surgery, and LASIK. If they feel you would benefit from seeing one of our sub-specialists or if you just want a second opinion they will be happy to arrange the appointment.
